We have some new activities coming up and several others continuing:

Postcards from Lockdown life - Bridgend Farmhouse Community Art project
Bridgend Farmhouse would like to document this strange time in our history with you help.
As part of a community art project, we are inviting you to fill in a blank postcard with a drawing, collage, story, poem, photo, painting, sewing, knitting or any other piece of work which describes lockdown to you.  It can be a photo of a cake you made, a painting of the view from your window, a facemask idea, anything at all which shows your lockdown experience.  This is a project for everyone.
Blank stamped postcards are being sent out locally to shops and community resources but if you would like to request one please email info@bridgendfarmhouse.org.uk and we can send you one.
The postcards will be used as part of an online exhibition at Bridgend.
Please send in your postcards to arrive by March 1st.
We are all apart, but all connected. Lockdown affects everyone in different ways, we’d love to see your story.

Tea and Bingo
We would like to reach out to local older people who may be shielding and isolated through lockdown. We have an offer of a free cream tea which would be delivered to individual houses and the opportunity to join a zoom chat /bingo which we are running in partnership with local group Chinwags.  The only requirements are recipients live in in EH16/EH17 and are shielding or on their own.
If you are , or know of someone who would benefit from this, contact us via community@bridgendfarmhouse.org.uk

Arts tutor Gill Curran is running a tapestry project.
All skill levels and experience are welcome to this friendly group email community@bridgendfarmhouse.org.uk if you would like to join or check out our Facebook page

Another Walking with Nature Block is starting with Stephanie Whitelaw.
From Friday 29th January, there will be a 13-week series, running weekly on Zoom from 10am-11:30am until 16th April 2021 except for 12th March. The series will conclude with a ‘Pilgrim’s Walk’ on the Thursday 22nd April [World Earth Day] – hopefully in person. Email Stephanie on artnaturecommunity@outlook.com to sign up.

Ongoing:
  • Gills Arts and Crafts group - Wednesdays 2 - 3.30pm
  • Crafts Collective - Thursdays 6.30 - 8pm
  • Darla’s singing group Tuesdays 5 - 6pm.
For more information and to get Zoom details for any of these email community@bridgendfarmhouse.org.uk
