Carol Stobie, our Place, Work and Folk Project Officer
Carol Stobie is the BIG Project Officer for our community history project.
Starting in August 2017, she has embarked on the recruitment of volunteers and potential interviewees to gather memories of the farm and the part it played in local life.
Everyone who’s interested is welcome to take part, as she says:
"We’ll work with adults and schoolchildren at various stages, giving them useful skills and forming new connections and friendships. Our sound and video recordings will preserve these vital memories for this and future generations. They will also be used to inspire learning and creative activities to benefit participants and the wider community."
Carol has worked in adult education, community learning and development, voluntary sector and heritage/history work for many years in Edinburgh and other parts of Scotland. She enjoys creating gatherings, sparking rewarding conversations and connections, capturing and sharing the stories that sometimes get forgotten.
