By bike
Bridgend Farmhouse is well connected for people travelling by bike. It sits directly on the cycle path and links to National Cycle Network Route 1 via the Innocent Cycle Path. This makes it easy to reach safely from different parts of the city.
For route planning, you can use:
From the city centre
Cycle through the Meadows and turn right onto Argyle Street, then left onto Hatton Place. Follow quiet roads to Lauder Road, then join the A701 via a short segregated cycle path. At the Cameron Toll roundabout, use the designated cycle path and join Old Dalkeith Road briefly to reach Bridgend Farmhouse.
From Leith or Easter Road
Follow the route around Holyrood Park and join the Innocent Cycle Path. Turn right at the junction with Duddingston Road to continue onto King's Haugh. Turn left at the junction with Peffermill Road and use the toucan crossing to follow the designated cycle path. Turn right into Craigmillar Castle Park and follow the path straight through to the Farmhouse.
From the south
Use the new cycle path through Little France Park, near the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. This provides a direct route to the Farmhouse.
Car parking
Before jumping in the car, please consider whether you can come to us by foot, bike or public transport.
We only have a few parking spaces on site for blue badge holders and our less mobile customers.
If you are coming from further afield and car is your only option, we kindly ask you to park at Cameron Toll shopping centre. It is only 5 minutes’ walk from the farmhouse via either Inch Park or Old Dalkeith Road.
Thank you for your understanding.
