Vote for our mushroom growing project!
We’re excited to share that we’ve submitted a funding bid for Greenlight Funding 2025-26 to help us continue our community mushroom growing project. This project began in partnership with Rhyse Mushrooms and has already brought real benefits to the Farmhouse.
Our volunteers have built a special mushroom chamber, where we grow oyster mushrooms using spent coffee grounds from our café. These mushrooms are then used in meals for the café and in lunches for our hardworking volunteers. It’s a brilliant example of sustainability in action – reducing waste, building skills, and providing fresh, healthy food.
Now, we need your support to keep the project going. We’re shortlisted in the £500–£1,000 category of the ECCAN Green Light Fund. To cast your vote, you’ll need to vote in all five categories – but it’s quick, simple, and free.
Voting is open exclusively to ECCAN members (individual or organisational), but membership is completely free and easy to sign up.
Your vote could make all the difference in helping us grow more mushrooms!
