Well Preserved Ladies

The Well Preserved Ladies are a group of four core volunteers who were brought together from different backgrounds with the sole purpose of establishing a weekly group that allowed the sharing of skills in a supportive environment whilst combating social isolation.

They take surplus and allotment grown produce to make into jams and chutney, reusing jam jars supplied by the community.  This initiative has evolved into producing goods that are sold and used not only in the Bridgend Farmhouse café but further afield at local churches, fairs and schools; to raise funds for the farmhouse and awareness of the role the farmhouse plays in the wider community.
