Bridgend Past and Present
On April 23rd 2021 Edinburgh City Archives’ Redrawing Edinburgh event was Bridgend Past and Present, where John Nowak, a longstanding local Bridgend Farmhouse volunteer, explored the past and present of Bridgend.

John has also written Bridgend Farmhouse’s storyboard to accompany it, which you can also see below, spotlighting some of the people, events and locations associated with the history of our general area.
We think all will learn some things from that. We have Mary Queen of Scots, Queen Victoria, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Craigmillar Castle whose last inhabitants were said to be two 'old ladies'.
