Lynn Houmdi - Our Interim Manager
Lynn stepped into a role as our Interim Manager while we recruited a full-time Community Development Manager. During that time COVID-19 struck and our recruitment had to be put on hold. We will always be grateful to her for staying with it for longer than planned.
Lynn has lived and worked on three continents but has called Edinburgh home for more than 30 years. She comes to Bridgend as our Interim manager to steer us through a period of change and consolidation as Bridgend continues to grow and inspire.
After taking a redundancy from the Scottish Government in 2012, Lynn has established herself as a freelance consultant to small businesses and third sector organisations, focusing on strategic business improvement, change management and communications. She is particularly passionate about making work work, empowering people to find a fulfilling balance between all the commitments and enjoyments of life such as family, work and wellbeing. Lynn is a member of the board of Multi-Cultural Family Base in Leith, and a volunteer with The Welcoming, both of which work with New Scots and families from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities to help them thrive in Edinburgh. She is looking forward to building on Bridgend’s success so far as a sustainable community-owned centre, by bringing together even more members of our diverse local community to learn, work and grow and develop a flourishing community and place. |
