Our Picture Archives 2010 -2014
So it may be winter but the forests are still full of fun! Over a few months at the end of 2014 we ran some fantastic Forest Skills workshops in Craigmillar Castle Woodland. With the help of Dave Crosby from Tree-ditions young people from the local area were able to really get to know this brilliant woodland. We tracked deer, went mushroom hunting, learnt how to light fires and cook some yummy food, build shelters and even use some bush craft tools. We also learnt all about the 'leave no trace' ethos and made sure to clear up wherever we went. Have a look at the photos here to see all of our adventures. We have had more like these since, and plan many more workshops in the future - if you are interested in people attending or helping as a volunteer then please get in touch via our contact page. |
