Bothy Burns Supper, 25th Jan 6- 10pm at Augustine United Church, George IV Bridge
Star attractions: Malcolm Fraser, Johnny Stanton & YOU 3 course local organic Burns supper, with open mic bar, poems songs and prose and chances to share performances and take a turn. Places are limited so book in advance. Burns Supper at Bridgend Farmhouse, 24th Jan 7:30- 10pm
Menu: Vegetable soup, Haggis, neeps and tatties (with vegetarian option). Cranachan or fruit. Followed by toasts to The Immortal Memory, to The Lassies and The Reply. Plus poems and songs and the usual good cheer. Coffee and soft drinks will be served but bring your own bottle of anything else. Forest Fridays and Forest Families with Trees and Seas,

Weaving with Brambles 20 & 21st Dec 10-5pm
You may have picked blackberries, but you can also turn the bramble vines into useful and beautiful baskets all year round! Come learn from Weaving Wild how to see them with new eyes. Friday (optional) You will spend the day out in the woods gathering brambles and preparing them ready for Saturday. Saturday will spent in a workshop preparing vines and then making your basket. Christmas homemade craft fair and market, 14th Dec 10-2pm
Very excited to be hosting a new style craft fair to encourage people to bring artisan, locally made items to sell. We hope to continue this into the New Year with our car boot sales as a combination of the old and the new. Santa will make an appearance at some point too... Halloween Surplus Dinner, Mon Oct 28 5-7pm
Did you know that food waste is a very big contributor to the greenhouse effect? (FAO) reports that about 33% of food produced for human consumption is lost or thrown away every year. Bridgend Farmhouse in conjunction with the Junk Food Project are organising a Halloween bash for you. We will be using food that otherwise would be wasted. Come and help us prepare the dinner and learn a few tips on how to creatively use your leftovers and recognise food that may not look too pretty but is 100% percent OK for consumption. |

World Music at Bridgend, Saturday 12th Oct 2-6pm
Come and enjoy music from around the world, from Brazil to India, with wonderful sitar playing, dancing, musical acrobatics and songs that celebrate our Earth. There will be performances from Alec Cooper and students from “The Sitar Project.” “Capoeira” who combine Afro-Brazilian martial arts with dance, acrobatics and music. And Francesco Benvenuti whose travels around Central America have inspired “heartfelt songs that honour the Earth.” Pizza and cafe. Entry by donation. |
Celebrating Community Land Week, Sat 17 Aug 2-6pm
Being community owned, led and run, we are delighted to be part of this week of events and celebrations being held to highlight community ownership. We are having an Open Mic session, so if anyone wants to come and showcase their talents, get in touch There will be food, music, activities for children and fun for all. Bothy Build Fundraiser, Sunday 28th July 3-11pm
in the Argyle and Cellar Bar, 15-17 Argyle Place, EH9 1JJ Euan, one of our bothy volunteers, is organising this event to raise funds to buy materials for our bothy build If enough is raised he would like to allocate a portion to Edinburgh North East Food Bank. Entry is free, but cash donations and/or items for the food bank such as dry pasta or rice, tinned vegetables or sanitary products. An afternoon of World Music in the outdoors at Bridgend Farmhouse. Featuring performances of North Indian music from the Sitar Project and West African Drumming from Drumsoc. There will also be fresh pizzas available from our outdoor pizza oven and drinks. Come and support local musicians and enjoy amazing music from around the world. |

A gathering of people who care about having good food for all. Workshops, talks, stalls, films and networking about the grassroots and community action around food, policy, growing, farming, environment and justice in Scotland.

There will also be an emphasis on The Good Food Nation Bill and we will a create space for people to discuss, learn about and fill in the consultation (the deadline of which is March 29th).
Refreshments and food provided by The Real Junk Food Project Edinburgh and Bridgend Farmhouse.
Pay what you can. All money goes towards supporting sustainable community, land and food projects.
